How Yorkshire’s Rural Landscape Inspires Creativity

Where nature thrives, so do we

At Buttercrumble, creativity is just what we do—but let’s be honest, it’s a lot easier to feel inspired when you’ve got rolling countryside on your doorstep! Based at Bowcliffe Hall, we’re surrounded by views that beat a grey office block any day. Fresh air, open spaces, and the odd noisy tractor—it’s all part of the package.

We’re firm believers that the best ideas don’t come from staring at a screen for hours on end. They come from a good wander, a change of scenery, and maybe even a well-earned slice of cake at the end of it. Luckily, we’ve got the perfect spot for all three!

Yorkshire’s got that creative spark

There’s something about Yorkshire that makes ideas flow a little easier. When we step outside, we’re not dodging crowds whilst rushing for the next meeting—we’re taking in views that give us the space to think, breathe, and let creativity do its thing.

It’s not that we don’t love a buzzing city, but sometimes, you need to swap the honking horns for birdsong and the traffic jams for country lanes! Whether we’re walking through woodland or having a moment of calm in the gardens, this landscape has a way of sparking new ideas when we need them most.

Our creative home at Bowcliffe Hall

Of course, it’s not just the great outdoors that fuels our imagination—it’s our incredible base at Bowcliffe Hall. This isn’t your average workspace; it’s a Georgian beauty packed with history, charm, and plenty of character. And while we do love a bit of old-world grandeur, don’t be fooled into thinking we’re stuck in the past! Bowcliffe blends tradition with innovation, just like we do.

Whether we’re bouncing ideas around in the exclusive Driver’s Club or brainstorming in our bright and airy studio, there’s something about being here that sparks creativity. Maybe it’s the inspiring surroundings, or maybe it’s the biscuits. Either way, we’re not complaining!

Let’s have a natter!

Fancy seeing it for yourself? We’d love to welcome you to our studio! Whether you’re looking to collaborate, chat design, or just want an excuse for a countryside escape, get in touch to book a meeting with us. Let’s create something brilliant together!
