Buttercrumble Delivers Creative Workshops for Wakefield Council
We believe in the power of co-design and bringing people together through creativity. WordFest is a month-long festival celebrating words, running throughout May 2023, as part of Wakefield Council's annual festival programme. Buttercrumble’s workshop has been funded as part of WordFest, led by Wakefield Council across the Wakefield district. Let’s unleash creativity and identity!
For these sessions, we encouraged families to come together and embark on a collaborative adventure by creating vibrant collages that embodied the essence of their names. Whether it be an individual or family collage, participants were equipped with a delightful mixture of arts and crafts materials which allowed them to create captivating artwork that beautifully reflects their family dynamic, history and the unique identity of each member.
The workshops allowed families to freely express themself and bring their ideas to life in a visible and tangible way. It gave them the opportunity to let their creative spirit soar in an abstract and expressive nature whilst enhancing their sensory awareness, patience and intuition.
