The visuals contributed to Westminster City Council applications.
Promote biodiversity
Buttercrumble clearly communicated the ecological impact of the project.
Public engagement
Buttercrumble partnered with Grosvenor Group and The Mayfair Youth Forum in 2021. The forum is a group of young leaders aged 14-18 working to enhance #YouthVoice in the area. The event took place at Grosvenor Square, as they have been advocating to make it a better district for youth. Read more about the project here.
Sketches
The team at Grosvenor wanted to visualise their future plans for the redevelopment of Grosvenor Square, and communicate this to stakeholders.
Buttercrumble referenced Grosvenor Group’s initial plans to draft sketches for approval.
Visualisation
The use of bright visualisations allowed the benefits of their plans to be communicated where photography was not possible.
Furthermore, viewers are more likely to resonate with illustration than photography. This is because it sparks the imagination unlike prescriptive “real” images.
The results
Buttercrumble received positive feedback from the Grosvenor Group following the project “We presented some of your work as part of an update on our work this week, and everyone commented on how much they liked our new graphics”.
