Reporting directly to the company’s director, this is a unique opportunity to make a personal impact in a small but progressive company. Based in Leeds, West Yorkshire, Buttercrumble is a family-owned business who specialise in creative strategy, illustration, and brand design. Buttercrumble takes pride in delivering their services to a number of community-sensitive and young-at-heart brands across the globe.
This is a fast-paced and varied role, engrossing the successful applicant in the exciting business of design. The role will balance business development and design activities so the Creative Champion can position themselves as an authentic creative expert; they offer the very best creative solutions to solve our clients’ challenges.
The Creative Champion will support the production of visual solutions for a diverse mix of public sector organisations, small businesses, and household names. The candidate must utilise Adobe’s creative software to design proposals, presentation documents, and marketing collateral to solve client’s unique challenges.
The Creative Champion must be an extroverted problem-solver with a passion for building brands. They must appreciate the impact of design and how it can achieve our clients’ commercial, funding, and social responsibility goals. They must also be alert to our own growth goals and understand the strategies to achieve these.
To succeed in this role you must have a business mindset, and show impeccable attention to detail in all aspects of your work and in personal presentation and communication. The associate shows a genuine interest in our clients’ organisations and is always eager to help.
Responsibilities:
Business Development
Acting as a positive and proactive ambassador for Buttercrumble
Managing contacts via the CRM, to develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline
Liaising with the team regarding project briefing and delivery
Educating others accurately about Buttercrumble’s services and expertise
Pursuing new business opportunities via telephone, email, and industry networking
Preparing and presenting proposals with aplomb
Proactively nurturing existing client relationships
Design
Assist the creative directors with the design of branding and marketing collateral
Design and type-set presentation and proposal documents using Adobe InDesign
Prepare designs for print and production
Share mockups, rationale, and sketches to enliven and justify design solutions
Ensure artwork is consistent, accurate and adheres to brand guidelines
Present deliverables to clients via email and face-to-face meetings
Liaise with the team to ensure deadlines are adhered to
Interpret and apply feedback to the team’s designs
Requirements:
GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 (C) or above
1-2 years’ relevant work experience in marketing, business development, or sales
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud software
Preferred Skills:
Marketing knowledge
An understanding of Trello
Knowledge of CRM systems like Hubspot
Interest in working globally across cultures
Experience working within the creative industries
Full UK driving license
