Exciting news!

Our communications studio: Buttercrumble is representing British design on a global platform during Hong Kong’s Business of Design Week (BoDW). Buttercrumble, based in Leeds, was formed by twin sisters (Chloe and Abigail Baldwin). As a studio, we create playful graphic design, branding, and illustration with an ethos of making others smile. Although in the youth of the business, we’ve already gained John Lewis, Chester Zoo and the Royal Armouries as partners on our client roster.

Hong Kong is partnering with the United Kingdom during BoDW as the UK is seen as one of the world’s greatest cultural nations. Over the last twenty years, the country’s creative sector has provided over 3 million jobs and contributed over £100 billion (a year) to the UK’s economy. It’s no surprise that the UK’s creative sector is so strong because of its history and involvement in media, fashion, architecture, culture and education.

Buttercrumble will present this creative flair and reliability to Hong Kong. In return, we (and our work) will be influenced by the cultural combination of East and West. We will collect new inspiration from one of the most pioneering destinations in the world. We plan to share this treasured trend research with their UK clients and foster new overseas relations.

The combination of commerce and creativity in Hong Kong has cultivated a culture of creative companies embracing design. The cultural mix of East and West is sure to excite and influence new studio work. We predict this will be a growing trend amongst many studios. In an ever—changing, competitive marketplace, We know it is more important than ever to nurture connections at home and abroad.
