Impact
Illustrating fossas
Buttercrumble were commissioned by Chester Zoo to illustrate their new fossa cats. The Zoo is recognised for its strong identity and recognisable visuals, so it was essential that the new illustrations felt at home within the zoo space. We carefully considered their house-style to produce new imagery.
Saving the bees
We supported Chester Zoo with their efforts to protect our bee species within the UK. Bumblebees are disappearing at a worrying rate so it’s important that we create space for them to eat, rest, and nest!
Buttercrumble created interpretation panels for their Bee Garden to help educate visitors about our bee species and what we can do to protect their habitats.
Supported conservation
…By clearly communicating Chester Zoo’s mission, vision, and impact through clear labelling that captures visitors’ imaginations.
The results

Our Design Partner and Interpretation Officer at Chester Zoo shared some kind words about Buttercrumble: "I'd highlight their communication was excellent, that they ask the right questions, and that they want to make sure the final product satisfies the client. I would recommend highly".
